Before concentrating on commercials, Michael received a BAFTA nomination and Greirson Award for the hour long comedy doc ‘Nina Conti: Her Master’s Voice.’ This led to several BBC and Sky commissions. During filming 'Call the Midwife' Michael shot a short comedy - ‘The Runner’ with the shows cast and was awarded the Grand Prix and Audience Awards at the REED Festival.
Michael’s passions have led him to direct both comedic TVCs and those concentrating on beauty and food styling.
His work with Birds Eye led to him winning the 2017 Drum Award for Best Social Campaign with #SOLIDARITEA.
Since then Michael has directed TVCs, cinema campaigns and social content for Blue Dragon, Natwest, AXA,
